GREAT SOUTH ROAD.
PAPAKURA'S PORTION. WORK PROGRESSING. The regrading" of the Papakura Town Board’s portion of the Great South road is progressing apace, and the contractor expects to have the formation in readiness in a very short time to receive the metal. If bad weather is experienced and the work halfe up. it will take some considerable time to have the job completed, and in the meantime the general public will suffer many inconveniences. At last night’s meeting of the Town Board arrangements were made to have metal ready to deposit on the road as soon as the formation work Is finished. Members were unanimous that the very best metal possible is to be put on the read so that the job will be a finished one for some time to come. It was reported that in a day of twe the portion of the road near the hotel corner would be ready to receive the metal.
