(By “ Mid Iron.”) The official opening of the Pukekohe Golf Club takes place to-morrow (Saturday). The new course is much longer and more difficult, thus necessitating’ a better standard of play. The improvement in the links is entirely due to the courtesy of Messrs Roulston Bros, in allowing the course to be extended over their property adjoining the show grounds. Considerable interest in the game has already been shown by the number present daily on the links practising for to-morrow’s opening day match—a mixed foursome.
