FRANKLIN WINTER SHOW.
ALTERATION IN D'ATES. MAY INSTEAD OF JUNE. Some time ago the committee of’ the Franklin Winter Show deckled to hold the"”annual Winter Show in June, but it transpired that the New Zealand Poultry Conference had allotted the date in June to the Onenunga Poultry Show, and May 18th and 19th to Pukekohe. Under the circumstances the committee resolved to hold the Winter Show in May on the 18th* 19th, 20th, and 21st, the same week as last year. In connection with the Show, the New Zealand Pigeon and Canary As-o sociation have allotted the following championships to Franklin :—White Wyandotte hen, Rhode Island red hen, utility White Leghorn rooster, utility White Wyandotte rooster (certificate only), and bantam Pekin hen (any colour). The Kennel Club’s challenges have not yet come to hand, but they expected in the course of a few daySThe schedule for the industrial sec-, tion has been revised, and is now up-to-date.
Present indications point to thfe Show exceeding that of last year, which was very successful, in spite of adverse conditions
