RAGLAN COUNTY.

ENGINEER’S REPORT. The engineer (Mr. G. W. King), in his monthly report to the Raglan County Council, stated that work on the Port Waikato to Tuakau bridge road was being continued. Surface work was being carried out in the Onewhero Riding. There was no maintenance work to report in the Pukekawa Riding. In the Whangape Riding surface work and grading had been continued, Caughlev’s to West Coast road had been .repaired, whilst contracts had been let for the whole of the length between Rotongaro and Rnngiriri, and good progress had been made. Pukekawa-Whangape Loan Works. — The Pukekawa and Glen Murray landing section had received a set-back owing to all the labour leaving the work. A, new party had now been engaged, and earthworks would be completed at an early date.
