The New Zealand Loan Company report as follows:—On Monday, at Pukekohe, we held a special horse sale, having a good entry* and report a satisfactory sale. Heavy draughts £3B to £SO, medium £26 to £42; light harness sorts and hacks, £lO to £2l; ponies £3 10s to £8 10s; weeds, 15s to £2 10s. Messrs Alfred Buckland and Sons report as follows:—During the week we held sales at Turua, Clevedon, Pokeno and Runciman. There was no improvement in prices, but the major part of the offerings changed owners. Dairy cows and heifers £lO 10s to £lB for best, others £4 to £10; fat cows and heifers £4 to £8; empty cows £2 to £3 10s; three to four-year-old steers £6 10s to £8 ss, two to three-year-olds £5 5s to £7 ss, yearling to eighteen-month £2 10s to £3 15s; eighteen-month to two-year-old in calf heifers, £4 to £6 10s; good calves £1 5s to £1 15s, smaller calves £1 to £1 4s, others 10s to 18s.
