MAYOR’S HONORARIUM.

NOT TO EXCEED £IOO A YEAR, At Wednesday’s meeting of the Borough Council, the Mayor (Mr C. K.' Lowrle) was voted £SO, which represents two years’ honorarium at £25 per annum. Cr. Patterson considered that the amount should be increased. The chief citizen of the town was deservir.a of some little consideration for the time spent on the job and for out of pocket expenses. He moved that the honorarium be increased so as mi. to exceed £IOO per annum. Councillors concurred and the motion was carried.
