TUAKAU.

WEDDING BELLS. THOMSON—WALDRON. A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Tuakau, yesterday, when Mr. Thomas Ruddell Thomson second son of Mr and Mrs W. Thomson, of Opara, Hamilton, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Miss Rhoda Mary Waldron, eldest daughter of Mrs Waldron, Tuakau. The Rev. Mr. Youngson performed the ceremony and the bride was given away by her uncle, Mr. Hamilton, of Onewhero. The bride ..looked charming in a creme accordian pleated crepe de chine dress, handsomely embroidered with beads. She wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. The veil was lent by Mrs. A. G. 1 Bell, sister of the bridegroom, of Gordonton, and has adorned five brides. The bridesmaid was Miss Inez Waldron, sister of the bride, who wore a torquise blue pleated dress and silk blouse made jumper style and white hat. After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was held at the residence of the bride’s mother, about 50 guests being present. The usual toasts were honoured and afterwards the happy couple left by motor for the Waikato. The bride’s travelling dress was a navy costume with hat to match. The presents were numerous and costly and included several large cheques. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a pendant set with diamonds and pearls, and to the bridesmaid a gold brooch set with white sapphires. Mr and Mrs T. R. Thomson intend taking up residence in Onewhero, where Mr Thomson is in business.
