Franklin’s great district show even' tuates this week and its effects will be more far-reaching than would appear on the surface. To the thousands of visitors who will come from other parts., will be demonstrated what this district can produce in produce, meat and wool. The horse and cattle classes alone will be discussed afterwards in districts remote from Franklin and the impetus given to this prosperous district will be very great. Because of all this it is the serious duty of every citizen of the various Franklin townships, and every settler also, to indivdually attend and help make the show a record not only financially but in enthusiast). The growth of this great exhibition is so rapid that one does not need to claim to be a prophet to say that it will ultimately become the most important show* of its kind in the Auckland Province and perhaps in the North Island. For the sake of Franklin and all its varied interests, therefore, let every man, woman and child in the district take a real interest in the work by personally'attending at least on People’s Day, and thus advance Franklin.
