PLUNKET NURSE.
Sir, —Your correspondent has touched upon an urgent need. The high mortality rate in the first 12 months of infant life is due primarily to ignorance, not neglect. This is the age of specialists, and surely one is needed for the babies. The advantages of the Plunket system are so well and favourably known that nothing fuither need be said. Can Pukekohe afford to do without a Plunket Nurse? Let us make an effort and get one—to start with.—l am, etc.. ONE WHO HAS BENEFITED.
