Up to the present about 950 applications have been made for the registration of firearms under the new Arms Act at the local police station. Owners of pea rifles . should bear in mind that such firearms have also to be registered. It is believed that quite a number of people owning the deadly pea rifle are under the impression that the pea rifle is exempt. This is not the case, every weapon has to be registered.
