BOWLING.
The Rotorua bowling tournament has concluded, the winners bing Mr. N. Bell’s rink from Hamilton. The Pukekohe rink, comprising Messrs. F. Perkins, Dave Roulston, Jas. Roulston, and Duncan Roulston (s), were defeated in Section A final by Forrest of Whakatane. Mr. G. ! Armstrong’s rink, consisting of Messrs. G. G. Littlejohn? J. H. Keith, Joe Adams and G. H. Armstrong (s), journeyed tc Tauranga and are taking part in the - Tauranga Club’s tournament which opens to-day. The rink expects to return to Pukekohe on Friday or Saturday next. LOCAL COMPETITIONS. The president’s fours matches, usually played on Saturdays, were postponed on Saturday last on account of the absence of a number of skips who were at Rotorua. An ordinary draw eventuated, a most pleasant afternoon being spent. The champion pairs, singles and B grade championship, also the first year players’ championship, held under the auspices of the local club(, are progressing apace. Players are requested to get their games off as soon as possible.
