STRAND. <? to-night. Evelyn Greeley in “Bringing Up Betty,” a World drama, full of fun. Grey hairs and bald spots collect when you’ve got a daughter on your mind, and if you’re only an uncle it’s worse. But you’ll get a few points in “Bringing Up Betty.” Four men wanted Betty for uncle’s dollars. Two were scored off by a rumodr that uncle had none. Number three went off with a fat cheque. Number four—but that’s telling. Come and see for yourself. Good supports. SATURDAY, FEB. 12. “LA LA LUCILLE.” How long is a bride? Ans.: As long as she blushes. Any young couple so recently married that they blush when referring to the fact, will be admitted free to the Strand Theatre to see “La La Lucille,” a hilarious comedy of newly-wed complications. A competent judge of blushes will be stationed at the door. Note: The .olush test will be applied only to volunteers. P.S. —Blushes will be confined to ten seconds. Good supports are included. ODDFELLOWS’ HALL PICTURES. SATURDAY NEXT. George Walsh’s famous smiles will be with us on next Saturday night, when he will appear at the Oddfellows’ Hall in his latest William Fox production, “Putting One Over,' a comedy-drama, said to be full of mystery and thrills and crafty crooks. While George Walsh is known for his extraordinary athletic prowess and his dare-devil nerve in taking chances before the camera, he is also a superb comedy actor, who knows how to convulse an audience with wholesome, hearty laughter A good second string is “Cheating Herself.” Other lesser lights complete an excellent programme.
