DAILY INTERCESSION.

FOR OUR DEFENDERS. Almighty God, Sovereign of the world, protect , tee pray Thee, our sailors, soldiers, and airmen from dangers by land, sea, and air, and from the violence of the enemy. At this moment we pray especially for those engaged in the battle of the Solomons, that Thou wilt enable them -to withstand successfully the assaults of the enemy, and defeat all his plans. Grant that the sacrifice of those that die be not in rain. In the torment of buttle, and the long strain of conflict may they never lose sight of Thy presence, finding Thee in the mystery of pain and sacrifice. And enable us to bo worthy of the price being paid for our liberty.
