BABBITSKIN SALE. The Dunedin Slock Agents and Woolbrokers’ Association reports that approximate,y 61 tons were ottered at yesterday’s sale of rabbitskins. Owing to the faning olf in quality, combined with a slackening in the demand overseas, values as compared with the previous auction rates were, on the average, 6d to 30d iower. West Coast Uredges. —Gold atmes of New Zealand Ltd. has issued the following returns of its West Coast dredges tor the half-month ended October 15; Baitytown- 190 oz in 218 hours, from 78.000yds. Kanieri: 3540 zin 203 hours, from 72,000yd5. Arahnra; 4900 zin 256 hours, Horn 950.000yd5. _ SHARE MARKET, Two sales were reported on ’Change this morning, Colonial Sugar at £52 10s, with the market closing at £52-£53, aiid X.C.I. (pref.) at 24s 6d. For this issue a buyer w‘as still offering 24s 6d, with a seller 6d awav. Bank of New Zealand had risen slightly, the quotation being 39s 3d (buyer), 40s (seller). National of New Zealand had a buyer at 45s and a seller at 45s 6d. In the insurance section New Zealand were sought at 71s, and Standard at 66s 9d, both slivlit increases on recent rates. P. and O. Deferred Stock also rose slightly, a buyer offering 365. Meat preserving values were unchanged. In woollens Kaiapoi (pref.) wore wanted at an increased price of 20s 3d. New Zealand Drug were also up at 78s (buyer). The general rising tendency was apparent in mining shares, where_ Bulolo Dredging were sought at 27s 6d, Emperor at 10s 6d, and Mount Morgan at, 7s. 3d.
