CHANGE OF TUNE

SIGNIFICANT GERMAN PROPAGANDA

(Rec. 10.15 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 20. Speeches by Hitler, Ribbentrop, Goebbels, and Goering marked the opening of an / intensive internal propaganda campaign, says the ‘Telegraph’s’ Zurich correspondent. Meetings were held in Berlin’s big beer halls under the slogan “ Freedom and bread ” nearly every night last week, and are scheduled for every night, this -week. Collection boxes have been an important feature of all these meetings. Lesser party leaders are also day and night haranguing vast crowds’ in provincial towns throughout Germany, and gauleiters are even touring villages. The theme of all orations is:. “Stick together. Don’t be discouraged. Death to all doubters. The war may be long, but will be won. The new Europe will be marvellous.”
