He had been informed by the general secretary (Mr F. C. Long, of Wellington) that Bishop Baddeley, Dr Thomson, Mr Bullen. and the women members of the staff at Malaita were safe. At San Cristoval the mission workers, Messrs Hill and Reynolds, were also safe. From Guadalcanal, Mr Stibhard had been sent south. Latest advice of Mr Rowleck was that he was in Tulagi en route to Malaita. '
