GASMASK ISSUE
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, October 21. Respirators for wardens and emergency precautions service workers are being distributed in the Auckland metropolitan area. Supplies are available in the first instance for technical units and wardens’ groups m the inner area of the city. Under the supervision of certificated gas identification officers 40 district headquarters will be used in the city and suburbs for fitting the masks and instructing individuals in their use. Uadi mask will be personally fitted by an expert. The respirators wore manufactured m New Zealand and modelled on the standard civilian respirators n-ed in Britain. In the first a Moca lion for Auckland there are about 00,000 respirators.
