SHARE MARKET. Recent price levels were maintained in all sections 'at tliis morning’s call-over at the. Stock Exchange. Bank of New Zealand were quoted at 38s 6d-40s. The buyer of National Insurance advanced to 20s 9d, and South British also rose to 63s 9d (buyer) without attracting seliers. In the meat preserving section there was a reported sale of New Zealand Refrigerating _(conl.) at 10s 3d, the market closing at 10s 2d-10s sd. Buyers and sellers wore quoting in gas, coal, and oil, some values being slightly higher than yesterday. West-port-Slbckton (pref.) were wanted at 8s 4d, and Taranaki Oil at 5s 3d. There was a closer market in Moturoa (pref.), a buyer offering 3s 3d, with a seller 9d away. Woollens were slightly up, with buyers of Kaiapoi (pref.) at 20s and Timaru at 18s 6d. Among the miscellaneous shares, A.C.I. were sought at 48s, following a reported sale at 48s. Milburn Lime rose to 32s (ouyer), New Zealand Paper Mills to 33s 9d (buyer), and ‘ Otago Daily Times ’ lo 40s (buyer). Mining values were practically unchanged. The secretaries of the Okarito Five Mile Beach Go.d Dredging Company Ltd. report that there has been a wash-up of 14oz 12dwt for 82 hours’ dredging. SALES ON ’CHANGE; THIS DAY.
