At the monthly meeting of the Executive Committee of the New Zealand Red Cross Society, Dunedin Sub-centre, Mr Charles Smith” presided. , A. report was given on the result ot the street day appeal, and a special vote of thanks was passed to the convener, Mr Charles Smith, for his untiring efforts in organising the. arrangements for this successful dav. Reference was also made to Miss Kathleen McLean and her committee for their excellent work in connection with this effort. The society expressed appreciation of an anonymous donation of £SO received during the week for a special purpose. The resignation was received of Miss Belle McLean, vice-president of the Dunedin Sub-centre, and members paid a tribute to the work she had done for the society during the past 28 years. * Mrs A. S. Bruce Smith reported on the meeting of the South Island V.A 4 D. Council held in Christchurch last week.
