BURNSIDE MARKET

In the fat cattle section at the Burnside market to-day there was a keen demand for all good quality beef. Medium quality, which comprised the bulk of the yarding, wai easier by £1 a head, while cows and heifers also showed an easing of 10s a. head. Fat sheep met with keen competition, and all classes were 2s a head above last week’s rates. Woolly wethers »rought up to 50s 9d, and ewes 45» 6a. Baconers made up to £7, and best lambs to 44s fid.
