SHARE MARKET. A sale of Wright, Stephenson, and Co. (pref.) at 20s 6d was reported at this morning’s call-over at the Stock Exchange, with a buyer still offering 20s for this issue and 19s for the ord. Buyers again predominated in all sections with values practically unchanged from yesterday. There were inquiries for all insurance shares, National at 20s 7d, N.Z, at 70s 6d, South British at 62s 9d, and Standard at 65s 6d. In the meat preserving section N.Z. Refrigerating (paid) were wanted at 21s 6d, with contributing issue quoted at lOs-lOs 3d. Woollens were in keen demand, buyers offering recent rates for all local mills. REPORTED SALE. —This Morning.— Wright, Stephenson, and Co. (pref.), 20s 6d. Mining. Gillespie's Beach.—The wash-up for last week was 250 z 3dwt for 130 hours from 15,617 cubic yards. Associated .Gold Dredges. —The return for the week ended October 10 was 1560 z from 55,000 yards. The Snowy River dredge return for last week was 167|0z for 110 hours from 18,000 yards. For the week ended Saturday, October 10, Gillespie’s Beach report a wash-up of 250 z 3dwt for 130 hours, from 15,617 cubic yards. SALES ON ’CHANGE: THIS DAY.
