NATIONAL PARTY LUNCHEON

Yesterday Mr S. G. Holland, Leader of the Opposition, met tlie Dunedin City Committee of the National Party at luncheon at the University Club. Mr E. J. Smith, chairman of the Otago and Southland division, presided over a large attendance. Mr Holland traversed the events leading up to the withdrawal from the War Cabinet of the Nationalist representatives, giving a full account of the happenings. At the conclusion of the address Mr J. J. Marlow moved a vote of thanks to the speaker and also a vote of confidence in him as leader of the party. This was carried unanimously.
