MOSGIEL BOROUGH COUNCIL

The mayor (Mr W. P. Hartstonge) presided at the monthly meeting of the Mosgiel Borough Council last evening. Accounts totalling £536 3s 8d were passed for payment. The Clerk reported that two building permits had been granted during the month. The Chairman of the Works Committee reported that steps were being taken to fence the sides of Gordon road bridge at Owhiro Creek, so as to minimise the risk of young children falling into the bed of the stream. The work of cleaning up the footpath in Bush road would be undertaken in the near future.
