The monthly social of the Orkney and Shetland Society was held on Saturday night. The president (Mr A. Fraser) opened the social with a short address of welcome. The evening was spent in dancing, interspersed with the following items: — Songs, Mrs A. Caldwell and Mr \V. Stevenson, son.; tap dancing, Miss Norma Frankham.
