RAILCAR SERVICE

WESTPORT-GREYMOUTH LINK (P.A.) WESTPORT, Sept. 7. A railcar service between Westport and Greymouth via Buller Gorge and Reefton was inaugurated to-day. All seats in the first outward car were taken at Westport, while the outward car in the afternoon and both incoming cars were also liberally patronised. The passengers greatly appreciated the change from the accommodation hitherto provided on the local railway. Congratulatory messages have been sent to the Minister of Railways, Mr Semple, on the inauguration of the service.
