The Otago Education B*»rd appealed against the decision of the district matt power officer in directing two employees, miners by occupation, to accent employment with Messrs Miller and Tannage at Port, Chalmers The employees concerned were Alexander Reid Caldwell and James Yule Patterson.—The appeal or. behalf of Patterson. was allowed, and decision waa reserved in the case of Caldwell.
