MILITARY APPOINTMENTS
STAFF AND ARMY COMMANDS (I’.A.) WELLINGTON. Sept. :i. The military appointments gazetted to-niglit include the following:— STAFF. Lieutenant-colonel (Teniporarv Brigadier) K. L. Hunt, 2nd N.Z.K.V.. relinquishes the temporary rank of brigadier and is appointed a general stall' officer, first grade (training). Army Headquarters. .Major T. G. V. , Kahouc. 2nd N.Z.K.K. , commander of Kngineer.s. Central .Military District, is granted the temporary rank of lieutenantcolonel. -Major .). 1). Armstrong 2nd N.Z.JvK.. is appointed to the directing staff of tiie Zealand Staff College and granted the acting rank of lieuten-ant-colonel. TERRITORIAL ARMY. Major (Temp.) J. H. Williamson, commander of .Kngineer.s in a South Island division, to bo lieutenant-colonel (temp.). Major (Temp.) V. A. Murphy, commander of Engineers in a North Island division, to ho lieutenant-colonel (temp.). Major A. C. Trousdale, 2nd N.Z.E.K., is appointed to command a battalion of the North Auckland Regiment and granted the temporary rank of lieuten-ant-colonel. Lieutenant-colonel J. M. Twhigg, D. 2nd N.Z.E.E., is appointed assistant director of medical services in a North Island division. Appointments and promotions of officers in the 2nd N.Z.K.K. include the following:— COMMANDS AND STAFF. Major 11. C. Qneree, New Zealand Artillery, is appointed to command a field regiment with the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. Major J. W. McKcrrow is seconded for special duty with the Royal Greek Army and granted the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel. NEW ZEALAND INFANTRY. The following to bo majors:—Captain L. H. Boulton, Captain (Temp. Major) H. E. Romans, Captain (Temp. Major) •I. C. Porter, Captain (Temp. Major) E. G. Kedgley and Captain J. C. Holmes. NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS. The following to bo colonels ;—Lieu-tenant-colonel (Temp. Colonel) T. 1). M. Stout, D. 5.0.. 0.8. E.. Lieutenantcolonel (Temp. Colonel) J. B. Boyd, M.C., and Lieutenant-colonel P. A. Ardagh, U. 5.0., M.C. The under-mentioned majors to be lieutenant-colonels .--—Major J. D. Cottrell. Major J. At. Clark, and Major E. G. Sayers. NEW ZEALAND ARMY NURSING SERVICE. Charge Sister M.
