ABANDONED CARS

REMOVAL BY AUTHORITIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 4. An indication that regulations were being prepared enabling the authorities to deal with cars abandoned by their owners and left on the streets was given by the Hon. R. Semple to-day. He said that it was anticipated that under the regulations the local authority would be empowered to take possession of an abandoned motor vehicle after giving an opportunity to the owner to remove it from the streets when the owner could be found.
