BASELESS REPORT OF ATTEMPT ON LIFE NEW DELHI, September 2. There is no truth in _ the report of an attempt against the life of the Marquess of Linlithgow. He attended the weekly meeting of the Executive Council this morning. A Japanese propaganda station in Batavia was responsible for the report, which other Axis radios took up.
