FIRES IN SWEDEN
EXTENSIVE DAMAGE STOCKHOLM, September 1A fire swept the big Marma timber yards at Sodenhamn last night. The flames spread to the port, where five ships were set abaze. The damage at the timber yards is estimated at £250,• 000. Fire brigades fought_ the blaze throughout the night, tout failed to gam control. The cause of the fire is unknown. A second fire at Malmo caused damage of several million kronen as leather works. • ■
