R.S.A. PRESSES FOR EQUALITY OF TREATMENT (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. The New Zealand (Returned Services’ Executive Committee reports that the association is still pressing for the increased nlufti allowance granted to ex-servicemcn who served in New Zealand only to be made retrospective. The Minister of Defence informed the association that it is the exception rather than the rule to make payments retrospective, but the association points out that the increased allowance I to overseas servicemen was made retrospective, and expresses dissatisfaction because all servicemen are not accorded equal treatment.
