CONVICTED MEH REPRIEVED LONDON, August 30. Five of six members, of the 1.R.A., aged between 18 and 22, who were sentenced to death for the murder of a policeman in Belfast last Easter Monday, have been reprieved. Four will he imprisoned for life, and one has been sentenced to .15 years’ imprisonment, The sixth will not'be reprieved. Huge mass meetings have been held throughout Eire demanding the reprieve, and %'everal British members of Parliament have also urged a reprieve.
