WOMEN CONDUCTORS IN SYDNEY
(N.Z.P.A. Special Aust. Correspondent! SYDNEY, August 26. Women are to be employed as conductors on the Sydney trams and buses. It n;as decided by the Women’s Employment Board that they will be paid the' same rates as men, and the working conditions will be similar. About 250 women be engaged for a start, but the number will later be increased.
