The monthly social of the St. Andrew Society of Otago was held in the Wilson Hall fast Saturday. The president and other officials were piped up lo the- table by Mr McVcan, the official piper, wlio also played a selection on the pipes during the evening. Air D. Minnock presided. Items were given by Shirley and Dorothy Joyce (Highland dancing) and Miss June 'Holmes, who sang ‘Coming Through the Rye,’ ‘ Invitation to the Waltz,’ and ‘ The Whistler and His Dog.’ Aliss Holmes was accompanied by Signora Stella. Mrs Lydiate moved a vole of thanks to the artists. Supper was served by the Ladies’ Committee. The rest of the evening was spent in dancing.
