CLUB COMPETITION PLACINGS A meeting of the executive of the Outgo Hookey Association was held on Monday night,"Mr A. Rcnnick presiding. The proposed alterations to its constitution, submitted by the Otago Hockey Umpires’ Association, were approved. The three grade championships were declared closed with the following results: Senior (Gilray Cup).—University A, with University B runner-up. Junior (Williamson Cup). —Otago Boys’ High School, with Training College and University C (equal) runners-up. Third Grade (Gymnastic Cup).—Otago Boys’ High School, with Technical High School runner-up. The following programme was approved for the remainder of the season August 29: Services match, junior seveu-a-sido tournament. September 5: Senior seveu-a-side tournament; junior, University v, the Rost, September 12: Otago University v. Canterbury College. WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION ' At a, meeting of the Otago Ladies’ Hockey Association Mrs Sonntag presided. It was decided to hold the primary schools’ tournament on the Oval on September 12, commencing at 10 a.m., entries to dose on tlie morning of the tournament. The junior seven-a-side will be held on the same day, matches to commence at 1.50 p.m., and tlio senior tournament on September 19. Congratulations were extended to the College I. team, which defeated Kings, last year's winners, and therefore gained the senior cup by 1 point, and also to Bounty in the intermediate grade on winning by 7 points from Taieri. Fern won the C grade by 8 points from University. The B grade will not be decided until Taieri and Cohunba College meet, and it was decided to play this match on September 19. The senior selectors have chosen the following players to represent the Otago 1. team against South Otago at the Oval on Saturday, play to commence at 2.30: —Holclorness (College I.), Olliver (Momona),- Mitchell (Momona), Campbell (Otago), Fisher (Kings), Kennedy (Dunedin), Stinson^ (College 1,).
