A CLOSE CALL.—These two snaps show the damage caused to an Ar my car when a bomb exploded nearby during recent fighting in the Western Desert. The car, which was driven by Driver W. J. Shallish, of Dunedin, was occupied by five men, yet none of these suttered serious injury. Driver Shallish is seen without hat, seated on the mudguard.
