At the St. Kikla Methodist Church on Temperance Sunday the Rev. Honvood gave a stimulating address. He' spoke of the present time, with its record of unbelief, vice, and the ghastly tragedies of war, but reminded his listeners that peace-time fatalities, owing to drunkenness and ignorance of the laws of hygiene, were equal to the fatalities of the war periods. Mr Horwood referred to the want of religious understanding apparent in sections of the student class to-day, and concluded by an eloquent appeal to give the gospel of Jesus Christ its due place in alltho different spheres of life.
