WHEAT FOR GREECE

(British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 23. Eight ships of Swedish register have been allowed to pass out of the Baltic under a safe conduct from the Axis to go to Montreal to load wheat for Greece under the Canadian, gift scheme. Another five ships are expected to reach Montreal shortly. The first of three ships carrying a total of 1,500 tons of wheat passed Gibraltar on Thursday. The distribution of wheat will be under Swiss and Swedish supervision.
