SIX ENEMY FIGHTERS DESTROYED (British Official Wireless.) (Rec. noon.) RUGBY, Aug. 21. United States Army Headquarters states; “Eleven United States Amy Air Force Flying Fortresses were attached to-day over the North Sea by from 20 to 25 Fockewulf 190’s. During 20 minutes of air battle six enemy fighters were destroyed or damaged. An enemy shell exploded-in the cockpit of one Flying Fortress, killing the co-pilot and injuring the pilot. Enemy fire also destroyed two or the engines of this aircraft, and the Fortress was also hit in many other places, but there were no other casualties suffered, and. all our aircraft landed safely.”

ORDERS TO DUTCH JEWS (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 20. The Germans in Holland announced! that Jews who do not obey immediately the summons to work in Germany will be arrested and sent to Mauthausen concentration camp. Twelve hundred Dutch Jews entered Mauthausen recently, of Whom 740 are reported ta have died. SABOTAGE IN GOAL MINE (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Aug. 20. A Belgian clandestine newspaper which has reached London reports thaji 20 armed Belgians overpowered the guards at a coal mine near Charlerot and removed from the store, room 25 cases and 250 sticks of dynamite and 290 delayed-action and 250 ordinary detonators. They blew up the wind* ing gears of one of 'the two pits and escaped.
AIR TRAINING STATIONS (British Official Wireless.) (IRec. 10 a.m.) _ RUGBY, Aug. 21, Keen competition between the R.A.Fj training stations to produce outstanding pilots is shown by the pride of each, station in the number of decoration* obtained by former pupils. A few; weeks ago the elementary flying training school took first place with 100 awards. The brilliant record of this station draws attention to the training schools, which turned out airmen during the past two years who have become world fanwus.
