Passing the stand the last time Ronald Logan was just heading Hardy Oak, with Coquette, Special Force, and Jesse Owens next. With a little less than half a mile to go Hardy Oak a<niin too charge, and after rounding the turn Coquette ran into second place, this pair being a dozen lengths clear ns they turned into the straight. In the run home Coquette outstayed Hardy Oak and heat him by two lengths, with Lady Carol 20 lengths away third, and Ronald Logan and Jesse Owens next. Happy Man was pulled up at the end of a mile.
