Thu adjourned inquest concerning the death of Louis William Walker, aged 42, which occurred as the result of a motor accident at Bushey on July 6, was concluded in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston on Tuesday last, before Mr G. K. Graham (acting coroner) and a jury. John D. Evidence that Walker had called at his residence after midnight on July 5 and had stated that he was tired and sleepy was given by William John Pile, of Moeraki. Dr Thomas, of Palmerston, stated that the doors of the car had to be forced open. In his opinion, death _ was due to a broken neck. An examination of marks on the roadway was made by Con-, stable Kelly (Palmerston), who said the car had commenced to leave the bitumen road 209 ft from where it was found.
