SALE OF WORK
ST. HILDA METHODIST CHURCH Tlie spring sale and fair field by the St. Hilda Methodist Church was opened this afternoon by Mrs A. D. Hudson. Tiio function was held in the school hall, which was tastefully decorated for the occasion, and it was well supported by members and friends of the church. The fair will continue to-night and in the afternoon and evening of to-morrow.
A feature of the evening sessions will bn I lie showing of talking pictures, and of these an attractive programme lias been arranged. To-night (here will bo ‘Men Against the Sea.’ an epic of the work of the North Sea trawlcrmen. To-morrow night, a travel picture will lie the feature, 1 I.and of Vikings,’ portraying Norwegian life. Especially interesting are tho Bergen scenes. Stallholders at the fair are:— Varielv. —Mrs Horwood, Girls’ Bible Class, Cakes. —Mrs Muir, Mrs Lister, the Misses Muir. Produce. —Mrs M'Farlane, Mrs Stead, Mrs Churchill, Mrs Reid, Mrs Kiddy. Sweets. —Mrs Isles, Mrs Bissland, Mrs McDonald. Flowers. —Mrs Mcggott, Mrs Cram. Work.—Mrs Summered. Mrs Mnir. Tea Rooms. —Mrs Gladding, Mrs Wilson, Mrs Thornton, Mrs Douglas, Sirs Don. The evening’s entertainment will be in the hands of Mr Roy Kirk.
