OTAGO CINE CLUB

The fortnightly meeting of the Otago Cine Photographic Club was hold in the Educational Institute Club room last evening, the president (Dr A. J. Cottrell) presiding over n good attendance of members. Mr J. J Webster offered the use of his studio for the taking of trial shots to test lighting effects of any of the club’s future productions An interesting address on the subject of lenses was given by the vice-president (Dr R Revan Dodds) The lecturer used dia grams and a 16mm film in the course of his remarks Several questions were answered by Dr Dodds, and on the motion of Mr G S Currie a vote of -thanks was accorded the speaker. Questions were asked regarding the conducting of the annual competitions to be held on October 21 and November 4, and after a lengthy discussion agreement was reached on all points, the marking to be as follow's:—Exposure 20, continuity 20, composition 20, entertainment value 15, to”’no 15 titling 10 Mr R F Riggs gave a brief talk on ’ Points in Judging Elfins.’ gunner was ’ben dispensed under the direction of tile social organiser (Mr R. \V, Cook).
