ANDERSON'S BAY SCHOOL
REUNION OF EX-PUPILS The thirteenth reunion and annual [netting of tlie Anderson’s Bay Public School Ex-p'X)ils’ Association was held on Saturday night. Mr J. C. H. Somerville, chairman of the executive, occupied tho chair, aud there was a large attendance of expupils and friends. The pupils of the Sixth Standard were also present as the guests of the association. Mr Somerville referred to tli« loss the association had sustained through the death of its president, Mr W. T. Hildreth, of Wellington, at the ago of 82 years All present stood in silence as a token of sympathy with Mrs Hildreth and family. A motion of sympathy was also passed with the relatives of deceased expupils who had died during the year. The Chairman welcomed these present, mentioning especially Mrs Vernon (one of the earliest pupils), Mrs F. K. Pearson, Mr Ellison, Mr and Mrs Forrester, Mr and Mrs Kibblewhite, The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. Mr Forrester congratulated the association, and referred to. the credit balance of £l7 3s, which lie said ' was very satisfactory.
The following officers were elected :—President, Mr J. C. ii. Somerville; deputy, chairman, Mr W. Somerville; secretary ami treasurer, Mrs J. J. Hincheliff; auditor, Mr W. Grant: committee—Mcsdames Boss, Matthews, Fulton, Lanhara, Wilson, Henderson, King, Misses B. Somerville, U. Munro, A. Bishop, M. Bcgg, N. M’Lellan, It. M’Garrigle, M. Pearce, N. Hanger, N. Glue, V. King, D. Wither, P. Diikc, M. Luke, D. Lippert, J. Lane, Messrs J. U. Jelferv, J. King, B. Gnlhric, S. Duke, A. Samuel. L. Will lams, A. Little, and D. Wilson. Mrs Matthews read over the list of 74 names of ex-pupils on active service. At the conclusion of the formal business a musical programme was presented, and dancing concluded the evening. Tho reunion memorial service was held in the Anderson's Bay Presbyterian Church on Sunday.
