WELLINGTON BEATS AUCKLAND [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, October 5. For the English Trophy match the weather and the ground were perfect. Auckland scored after three minutes, when Robinson crossed for A. Francis to net. Wellington took a turn, for Walker to score from 20yds out, and the same player put his side ahead with a shot from close in. Wellington dominated the play, and Hatchard scored a clever goal from 25yds out. ,In the second half Wellington scored again, Baker getting the ball through. The visitors held a territorial advantage, and after midfield exchanges Price added another goal. Soon after Baker netted with a good shot. Auckland took a turn, and A. Francis scored from close in. Auckland pressed for Masters to score, making the final figures: Wellington 6 Auckland 3
