CAR OVERTURNS
OCCUPANTS IN HOSPITAL Concussion and abrasions were suffered by all three occupants of a motor car which overturned after striking a power pole at the corner of Union and George streets last evening. They had a lucky escape from serious injury. The injured were Edmond Godso, a young married man, Ann Godso ]iis wife, who reside at The Chateau, Tongariro, and Rita Godso, a young girl living at Campbell’s Cottage, Anderson’s Bay. The condition of the last named was unchanged this morning, but the others were progressing satisfactorily. When Mr Godso, who was driving a car north along George street, saw another car approaching up Union street, he swerved around into upper Union street, in an endeavour to avoid the oilier vehicle. Ho was unable to negotiate the corner, and the car struck a power pole, overturning. The car was extensively damaged, and the occupants were admitted to hospital at 6..JL5.'
