NO SECRET SESSION
PRIVATE EXPLANATIONS TO MEMBERS [Fkoji Our Parliamentary Reporter.J WELLINGTON, October 7, Parliament is likely to complete the present sitting without the holding of a secret session. The Government has always made it clear that if members desire to get private explanations from Ministers regarding the war effort, the opportunity will be given. However, on the present occasion, members have given no indication of such a desire. They appear to bo satisfied with the wide opportunities available for the discussion of war regulations, and the attitude of Ministers, who, in addition to making statements which can be published, have offered to provide further details in which members may bo interested. When the Minister of Defence made his recent statement regarding all forms of defence activities, including information relating to expenditure on the various arms of the services, be invited private perusal of additional defails which could not be given publicity.
