Daily Intercession
Deliver me, O God, from the evil man, preserve me from the violent man, who imagine mischiefs in their heart. Continually do they gather themselves together for war. O God, the Lord, the strength of my salvation, Thou hast covered my head in the day of battle. Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; further not their evil device, lest they exalt themselves. Surely the _ righteous shall give thanks unto Thy name; the upright shall dwell in Thy presence. —(Psalm cxl.)
Our God, Who hast been the dwelling place of our nation in all generations, be Thou the fortress of our kinsfolk in the Homeland May they not fear the terror by night, nor the destruction that wasteth at noonday. May they be steadfast, immovable, patient, courageous, and victorious in every trial. Stay, we pray Thee, the misery, fierceness, and cruelty that threaten the heart of our Empire, and in Thy mercy save us all: through Jesus Christ our Lord.
