WOMEN'S CRICKET
ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the above association was held in the ST.W.C.A. rooms,, when the following office-bearers were electee!: —Patroness, Mrs W. A. Ross; president, Mrs W. B. Taverner; lion, vice-presi-dents, Lady Ferguson, Mrs Harrouhi; vicepresidents—Mesdames Divers, Sutherland Ross, G. Samson, E. Flocton, A. Hudson, R. Hudson, W. Strang, J. Sew Hoy, A. H. Allen, G. Coulle, sen., Davie, Griffin, Breese, A. Gaffaney, Skinner, Garland, and Borthwick, Misses Bishop, Knowles, and Brown; delegates to the N.Z.W.C.C.— Mesdames Flocton; Samson, M’Cautfaeray, and P. Anderson: secretary, Mrs A. Gaffaney; auditor, Mr H. Tyrrell; ground warden, Mr F. Barltrop. The competitions during the past season resulted :—The Woohvorth Shield was won by Planet with 31 points, Mornington being runners-up with 27. The Lady Fergu. son Cup for bowling was won by J. Little, of Planet Club, with 42 wickets. The Hud. son Cup (batting aggregate) was also won by ,1. Little with 74ft runs. Miss Little made 251 runs in one innings. Miss A. Fache, bowling against Southland, secured the “ hat-trick.”
