WEIGHT-LIFTING CHAMPIONSHIPS
ENTRIES FOR WEDNESDAY'S MEETING The Otago championships are to be eondueled by the Otago Weight-lifters’ Association at the Pioneer Hall on Wednesday night next, the events to bo decided being the three Olympic lifts —snatch, clean-and-jerk, and press. The association has arranged a variety programme in addition to the weight-lifting competitions. The entries are as follows: — Feather-weight.—J. Beveridge (titleholder), M. lugs. Light-weight.—S. Williams (lilleholder), D. Alexander. E. Eassou, W. Easson, F. Freeman. ' . Middle-weight.—D. Fremean (titleholder), : O. Blacklcdge, G. Mackay, N. Taylor. Light-heavy-weight.—N. Broad (titleholder), L. Monroe. Mr 11. Baldock has been appointed referee, Messrs L. Green and G. M. Broad will bo the judges, and Mr P. A. Mathicson M.C.
